WHAT IS LEAN FARMING?

Increased competitiveness, coworkers with a greater involvement and better communication on all levels.

White boards, post-it notes, standardized working routines and orderly ways are usually associated with companies engaging in lean. However, it is not the tidiness or the white boards that creates lean, it is the result that comes from implementing it. Lean is really a mindset along with principles, underlying the whole business philosophy. To reach a lasting change it is necessary to continuously practice, this is why our Lean project runs for at least one and a half year.

Increased competitiveness, coworkers with a greater involvement and better communication on all levels ... those are just some of the effects you gain by working with lean. It involves streamlining and thinking long term while engaging staff in the improvements, resulting in a winning team.
Lean is a corporate philosophy derived from Toyota. Lean is a way of thinking, of working and relating to problems. Today, lean is successfully used to develop efficiency within industry, healthcare and agriculture. Lean was developed to create more value for the client, the business, employees and the community. The method has been under development for several years and is based on long term planning, simplicity and common sense. A big part of the workday is filled with wastefulness which ads no value to anyone. Lean results in learning to recognize and removing these by working in a smarter way.

Lean is not about working faster or making big investments. Instead the investment lies in improvements and solutions to problems from its very core so that they will not return. For example, the solution could be an improved method of working that everyone in the company has brought to light, it could be routines that prevent anyone from doing it wrong to begin with.  Actively removing wastefulness will result in greater stability and in turn contributing to less waste.
